PLAYER

CONTACT: PM; [plurk.com profile] balsamandash

ACTIVE TIMES/PACE: Central Time; irregular hours. I have several health issues, and some days I can't tag at all. If I haven't tagged back in a while and you want to make sure I got the tag or am still planning to return it, feel free to poke me.

STYLE: No preference between brackets or prose; prefer present tense, but will match past. I sometimes have trouble keeping up with text threads for long unless they switch to in-person.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: No gore in picture prompts, no graphic descriptions of gore in tags; no eye trauma; no insects.

OUT OF CHARACTER

BACKTAGS/SLOWTIME: (there is no "too old")
ASSUMED CR: (pms are open for discussion)
MULTIPLE THREADS:
FAKE GAME SETTING/UNIVERSE CLASHES:

DEFAULT SETTING: Modern day American, somewhere big enough to have a pretty good college nearby but not necessarily big city; supernatural world with the masquerade very firmly in place.

IN CHARACTER

PHYSICAL AFFECTION:
She's fairly affectionate with friends; might be a little weirded out by strangers, but she won't react too strongly unless she's getting red flags for any reason.

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE:
Lyn's not really a fighter, but she's not a pushover either. Anyone with training/physical powers will probably beat her, but she's going to fight back as best she can.

MINDREADING/PSYCHIC ABILITIES:
She has no way to know if people are reading her mind, and no way to keep them out. She's very logical, very likely to be breaking things down if she's trying to deal with something or form a plan; she's also pretty blunt, so there's probably not a lot she's thinking that's a huge secret in one form or another. For illusions or other kinds of manipulation, she may be able to tell an object isn't real if she touches it due to a complete lack of psychic feedback; we can discuss if something comes up.

MEDICAL INFORMATION: She has a lot of small scars from glass on her right shoulder and a longer one from a seatbelt on her upper arm, and on examination, professionals might notice other healed damage from the same car accident. Otherwise, she's in pretty good health.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Lyn lost her brother in her early teens, and is willing to discuss grief and survivor's guilt if conversations are driven in that direction; however, she's unlikely to bring it up if it's entirely unrelated. There's nothing else particularly likely to come up, but she's a very blunt person and will make it clear if she doesn't like someone.

RELATIONSHIPS

PLATONIC:
Close or casual friends are both welcome. Lyn is fairly social, and is inclined to become fond of people and try to keep a close eye on if they need anything.

NEGATIVE:
Lyn tries to get along with most people, but she is inclined to speak her mind, and if someone gets on her nerves, she's not going to hide it.

SHIPPING:
They might have to drag her away from her books once in a while, but she tries to have a social life, so it's not impossible. Lyn is pansexual, without much preference for partners of any gender. She doesn't have a very indepth romantic history; she had two very brief relationships (neither lasted more than four months), and has been on a handful of dates, and that's about it. She's not against the idea of one night stands or casual relationships, but she doesn't really go out looking for them, either.

IDEAS AND WANTS

◾ Give me all your cute college romances, thank you. Or just cute romances in general, college part optional.

◾ Friendships that start from or center around a mutual experience of grief. Both with other people with a history of it, or those going through a much fresher experience of loss that might find having someone around who understands it useful. Also interested in developing a psuedo-sibling relationship with others who had lost a sibling.

◾ Bonding with other people who have weird abilities and don't understand them. Alternately, bonding with people who are into weird things but don't have those abilities themselves; Lyn was more of a skeptic before her own abilities began to kick in, which could make a fun dynamic with someone who's a believer but has no proof.

◾ Her powers lend themselves well to trying to solve mysteries, and I am here for all the threads/PSLs where she realizes Something's Going On from an object and gets drawn into weird situations playing detective.

◾ Weird things happening overnight at the hotel she works out. I'm especially interested in supernatural things -- ghosts, creatures, events, or whatever else. One-time threads or PSLs are both welcome.
